The Gallatin River Cottage is located at the edge of a large cottonwood meadow. Natural materials like wood and stone are used throughout this home design to further incorporate the beauty of the surrounding area. The main entry is two stories tall with floor to ceiling glass on three of its four sides. An open tread staircase winds up this two story space, allowing for varying views of the valley floor, tree canopy and nearby pond. The MoonLight Foundry is designed for the modern enthusiast at heart. The exterior facade is primarily monotone aside from intermediate "splashes" of red. Inside, the center of the home is easily the large, 3-sided fireplace that stretches from floor to 14'-0" ceiling heights. Natural lighting is predominate thru window-scapes along the east, north and western facades. Although the Moonlit Foundry is a four bedroom home, it has been organized to effectively devote the second floor entirely to the Master's of the home. The unique promotion of Vitamin D has given this home its name-sake. The Wilson Creek Barn re-imagines the old Montana barn while utilizing modern details with new materials. Many of the details that define a barn are re-purposed in this home. For example, the roof is gambrel (dual-pitch), the prow at either end could carry a hay hook and the interior is framed with real-wood timbers. The home has a "Great Room" that is vaulted 25' in the air and completely open to the Kitchen and Dining Room. Several celestial windows and 6 'x 6' openings provide continued views of the Montana landscape. The second story is devoted entirely to the Master Suite, Bathroom and His/Her Closets. The Dry Creek Ranch is a custom home nestled within 20 acres of rolling wheat fields. On the outside, low pitch metal roofs, timber knee bracing and long facades combine to deliver on a Ranch-Style Theme. Weaved into the interior are both rustic and modern design elements. At the front entry a free-standing staircase is crafted with heavy rough-sawn timbers. The Master Suite is completely separate from other areas in the house and is organized uniquely to provide a private corner view from the tiled shower and tub. Big Bear Crossing is located on several acres in the beautiful Montana countryside. This custom home design includes unique amenities like a 75' long Archery Range, Coffee Bar, Breakfast Nook and Exercise Room. Dueling garages provide access into two distinct wings of the house. The double car garage is traditionally designed with Mudroom, Pantry and Kitchen accessible. The Farmhouse is the first project by BKS Design & Build. It is a traditional Farmhouse with white exterior, metal roofs and rustic wood accents. The entire main level is ornately designed with rustic timber beams and columns. BKS installed every inch of the timber work and completed the install of the great room fireplace. The great room fireplace stands two stories tall and is clad with rustic timbers, a concrete surround and a custom formed concrete hearth with wood storage.
